What is the focus? What types of Yoga will we study?

Our main goal is to give you all the tools you need to become a confident and successful yoga teacher. The styles and traditions of yoga that we will focus on are Hatha. Teachings will be influenced by other types as well such as Ashtanga, Power, Anusara, Restorative and others. The foundational teachings, however, will be in Yoga Practices and traditions and the Eight Limbs of Yoga as taught by Patanjali.

How do I know this training is right for me?

This training is right for you if you are ready to commit to transformation, both on a personal and a professional level! Do you love yoga and want to dive deeper? Do you talk about it with your friends? Are you curious to know more about meditation, chakras, and teaching methodologies? Are you excited to share your knowledge with others? Well, this is the place to make it happen!

What about Certifications & Teaching Opportunities?

Upon completion of the course, you will become an “InTune Certified Yoga Teacher,” a high distinction that carries considerable esteem at yoga studios, gyms, and fitness facilities locally and globally. You will feel confident in offering your own unique style of yoga with an emphasis on Flow, Power, and infused principles from 5 of the most prevalent yoga styles based on the 8 limbs of yoga.

This training prepares you for building a career in the yoga industry emphasizing your strengths and encouraging your passion. This program is based on Ashtangasana materials created and fine-tuned by Professional Yoga Instructors with a passion for experiential education. Your Lead Trainers have over 40 years of combined experience teaching classes, workshops, retreats, and specialty courses in the Yoga field. This course is a product of decades of study, peer review, and refinement.

As a graduate you are qualified to register your Certification with Yoga Alliance. This entitles you to more on-line resources to propel you forward on your Dharma path.

Every effort is provided to inform you of positions at local studios as well as providing recommendations to potential employers. You are expected and encouraged to seek out fulfilling opportunities that suit your nature and showcase your strengths. You will become more aware of possibilities as we advance through the course.

How much yoga experience is required?

We do not require a certain number of hours of experience in order to attend this teacher training. However, this is an intense college-like training. It is to your advantage and our recommend that you have at least practiced yoga consistently for 6-12 months. A good foundation will shorten the learning curve and provide a base for deeper comprehension. That said, your passion for learning and willingness to come prepared with an open mind, to jump in and immerse yourself in the teachings will be the determining factor on how rich your return is on your investment. You will get out what you put in.

What books are required and will they cost extra? Will I need to read them prior to class?

Your tuition includes the YTT 200 Hour Student Manual and Asana Manual. The 5 required books are extra. Most of these books can be found on Amazon.com for under $20. These will serve as study material during the course. You are not required to read them beforehand though it is encouraged if you are in a position to do so.
